Crime Victim Assistance Division (CVAD) Victim Services
Support (VSS) Program
The Victim Services Support Program is accepting one-year
applications for the contract period of July 1, 2012-June 30, 2013 (Fiscal Year
2013). A letter of intent to apply for funding is due January 31, 2012.

Letters of Intent Due: All agencies or programs
seeking VSS funding for Fiscal Year 2013 are required to submit a letter
of intent to:

Des Moines, Iowa 50319
A letter of intent should include the following on your agency letterhead:
Name of your agency,
Type of agency (law enforcement, prosecution, victim services, etc.)
The service area [name of county(ies), city(ies), specific population(s)],
Type of victims your agency will serve if you receive VSS funds,
The funding source you are applying to receive from VSS, and
Contact information for your agency (email, phone number, person to contact with questions)

|
Application Review Committee meets and reviews applications for funding.
|

April 6, 2012
|
Crime Victim Assistance Board votes on award amounts recommended by the Application Review Committee.

April 20, 2012
|
Denial and award letters are mailed to funding applicants.

May 4, 2012
|
Appeals or Requests for Reconsideration are due by 4:30 pm on May 4, 2012 in the Crime Victim Assistance Division, 321 E. 12th Street, Lucas Building, Ground Floor, Des Moines, Iowa 50319.

|
Crime Victim Assistance Board will hear appeals or requests for reconsideration for funding applicants.

June 27, 2012
|
Contracts are issued to all funded applicants.
