Iowa Attorney General's Crime Victim Assistance Division (CVAD)Victim Services Support (VSS) Program

The Victim Services Support (VSS) Program provides partial funding and technical assistance to community-based, system-based, and statewide victim service programs throughout Iowa .  Funded victim service programs provide free and confidential services to persons who are victims of crime. The VSS Program administered the Iowa's American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA or Stimulus) Funds from the Victims of Crime Act (VA) and Violence Against Women Act (VW).

The primary purpose of the Stimulus funds is to stimulate the economy, preserve and create jobs, and assist those most impacted by the recession. These funds have been completely expended in an effort to minimize the reductions in essential services for victims.

The VSS Program has awarded all of the Stimulus funds for agencies providing services to crime victims. Please direct any questions about the Stimulus funds for agencies providing services to victims to Donna Phillips, Administrator, at 515-281-5044, 1-800-373-5044, or at
